Adam and Eve in the paradise
66Genesis chapter two tells us the story
In the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens, when no plant of the field was yet in the earth and no herb of the field had yet sprung up—for the Lord God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was no one to till the ground; but a stream would rise from the earth, and water the whole face of the ground— then the Lord God formed man from the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and the man became a living being. And the Lord God planted a garden in Eden, in the east; and there he put the man whom he had formed. Out of the ground the Lord God made to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight and good for food, the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
The man gave names to all cattle, and to the birds of the air, and to every animal of the field; but for the man there was not found a helper as his partner.
So the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and he slept; then he took one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh.
And the rib that the Lord God had taken from the man he made into a woman and brought her to the man.
Then the man said,
‘This at last is bone of my bones
and flesh of my flesh;
this one shall be called Woman,
for out of Man this one was taken.’
Therefore a man leaves his father and his mother and clings to his wife, and they become one flesh.
Where was Eden?
Tigris - Since the river Tigris flows in another route today, we cannot know where Eden was. Somewhere around this mark in Turkey though.
Two perfect people
They came to the garden of Eden
A man and a woman, both created by God. These two were perfect in all meaning. They were healthy, beautiful and had everlasting life.
Both were created from the dust of the earth and still today we can trace the minerals and water that a human body contains. God used Iron, Fluoride, Zinc, Rubidium, Strontium, Lead, Copper, Aluminium, Cadmium, Barium, Cobalt, Vanadium, Iodine, Tin, Selenium, Arsenic, Manganese, Mercury, Nickel, Molybdenum, Chromium, bismuth, Lithium, Uranium, Boron, Germanium, Bromine, Gold, Silver, Beryllium, Antimony and Thallium.

Even the animals are created from the same material, so when we die, we become soil again. Recycled and absorbed in the ground.
Are you made of dirt?
Did you know that we are built with material from the ground?

What was in the Paradise Eden?
"Out of the ground the Lord God made to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight and good for food." says the Bible.
This means that the two humans had lots of food to eat. It is said in the Bible that God himself educated them in the evening when it was a little cooler. Adam and Eve were no cavemen. They were intelligent people that know how to cultivate the ground and spread the paradises borders. There was no hostility between men and animals. Everything was peaceful and perfect. What a start for humans!
Since Adam and Eve were created with perfect bodies, they could have lived forever and ever. There was only one rather easy thing they had to obey: The Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to till it and keep it. And the Lord God commanded the man, 'You may freely eat of every tree of the garden; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall die.
They are not alive today for that reason. They ate from the tree that represented Gods right to superwise them. God never created men to rule themself. He could only guaranti happiness if He was King and set the rules about what was right and what was wrong. When they ate, the sin came into their bodies and they were imperfect from now on.This sin we have in our bodies too. Therefore we get old, sick and die.
In my next Hub, I will write what God has done about this sad situation.

Very insightful information. Thank you for sharing the history lesson from the Bible. Some things in the Bible are hard to believe but that is where faith comes in.

Yes, some details are hard to understand. But my experience is that often there is another scripture that add information so we understand the whole picture. Faith is important indeed, but also that you get Gods blessing to understand at all.
