We do worry - so please leave a note

If it is important to anyone - leave a note!

My children have told me sometimes - NO news are good news! Dont worry mum. But this is exactly what I do when I dont know where they are and why they cannot call me.

ok - I am a chicken mum. But I really feel the same about close friends and family too. It is not that I need to poke into everybodys life. It is just my enormous imagination that is so hard. If someone is in an unknown place and I hear the ambulance in a distance, my mind start to build up horror pictures about what happend. I am crazy! Try so hard to think about something else and stop worry!

BUT IF THEY LEFT A NOTE I CAN WAIT A LONG TIME EVEN IF THEY ARE LATE

How do you feel when you worry?

Are you telling yourself all is well until the phone rings?

  • I never worry
  • I always worry
  • Why worry about something that might not happened
  • I need to know to stop worry
  • I always write a note to others
  • I tought my children to always tell me where they are.
  • All the above

There are so many ways

A note can be posted on the door, on the fridge, on the kitchen table or as SMS.

It does not have to be a whole lifestory or statement - just a little note that I am gone for a quick visit will be back at about 7. If not, I call you!

Make it easy for your loved ones. Give them little nice notes to use. AND remember that YOU too must use them!

To put up a chalk board or white board somewhere that is easy to reach is a really good choice.

I think leaving a note is a good idea. I don't have kids, but my husband is very conscientious about leaving notes and he is also very prompt so it's very, very unusual for me to be left worrying unnecessarily.
